SUBJECT: Indian River County Library State Aid to Libraries Grant

BACKGROUND
State Aid is a continuing state grant authorized by Chapter 257 of the Florida Statutes. To qualify, the Indian River County Library System must provide free library services, including the circulation of materials and reference and information services free of charge. The system must also ensure access to library materials, information, and services for all residents of the service area, maintain at least one library open a minimum of 40 hours each week, and have a Commission approved Annual Plan of Service on file.

Over the past four fiscal years, the following amounts have been received:

ANALYSIS
To comply with the State Division of Library Information Services State Aid Grant Application, the Indian River County Library System must have the Grant Agreement, Certification of Hours, and Annual Plan approved by the Governing Board. In addition, the Grant Agreement and Certification of Hours must be signed by the Chair.

BUDGETARY IMPACT
No funding is required for this item.
