BACKGROUND
1. On November 4, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners accepted a grant from Florida Department of Law Enforcement to purchase three (3) drones for $125,000. Exhibit “A” appropriates the grant revenue and expense.
2. On September 23, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners approved payment to the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) for Public Emergency Medical Transportation - Managed Care Organizations for $571,386, which will be returned to the County. Exhibit “A” appropriates the revenues and expenses.
3. On October 10, 2025, the County was notified of a reduction to the Property Appraiser’s budget due to overestimating retirement costs. Exhibit “A” appropriates $6,005 to General Fund/Reserve for Contingency, $1,002 to Emergency Services District/Reserve for Contingency, and $33 to Land Acquisition Bond Series 2024/Reserve for Contingency.
4. On October 27, 2025 and December 11, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners received a collective total of $104,767 in Opioid Settlement disbursements. Exhibit “A” appropriates the revenues and expenses.
5. An employee in Emergency Management entered DROP and received a vacation payout and now has an increased retirement rate. Exhibit “A” appropriates the $40,559 in additional funding needed from General Fund/Reserve for Contingency.
6. On February 18, 2026, the Tourist Development Council approved the Vero Beach Air Show's funding request for $50,000. Exhibit "A" appropriates the expenses from Tourist Development Fund/Reserve for Contingency.

Recommended Action
Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the budget resolution amending the fiscal year 2025-26 budget.
