BACKGROUND
A culvert discharging stormwater from the County’s North Indian River Drive right of way into the Indian River Lagoon has collapsed. Staff designed plans to replace the culvert.
ANALYSIS
A bid opening for the project was held on May 6, 2025. One (1) responsive bid was received and opened during a public meeting. A detailed bid tabulation is on file and available for viewing in the Public Works Engineering Division.

BUDGETARY IMPACT

If the bid is awarded, the difference of $55,845.04 will be made available by either a line transfer or budget amendment.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommended Action
Staff recommends the project be awarded to Sunshine Land Design, Inc. in the amount of $155,845.04. Staff further recommends the Board approve the sample agreement and authorize the Chairman to execute said agreement after review and approval of both the agreement and required Public Construction Bond by the County Attorney as to form and legal sufficiency, and the receipt and approval of required insurance by the Risk Manager.
