__________________________________________________________________

BACKGROUND

On August 16, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners awarded RFP 2022060 for Mental Health Coordinator Services to Kate Priest, LCSW, LLC. The Coordinator provides as needed services for the first responders assigned to the Emergency Services Department. These include but are not limited to, implementation and management of a Behavior Health Access Program, disaster/incident response, and departmental policy review.

The initial term of the Agreement will expire on August 15, 2025, and there are two, two-year extensions available.

ANALYSIS

Staff has been satisfied with the service provided by Ms. Priest and would like to exercise the first renewal to the agreement.

Staff has also provided the Coordinator with equipment to use in the function of her position and would like to amend the Agreement to include a provision that these items be returned at the termination of the Agreement and that use of all items shall conform with County policies and procedures.

BUDGETARY IMPACT

Funding, in the amount of $60,000, is budgeted and available in the Emergency Services District/Fire Rescue/Other Professional Services account, number 11412022-033190.
